Entry Thirteen - Unveiling at 2024 IEEE Junior Engineering and Science Conference

I presented my CubeSat work at the 2024 IEEE Junior Engineering and Science Conference in Big Sky, Montana. It was a great opportunity to share my story with other conference attendees and receive excellent feedback, which I am working on incorporating into my design. I also met a lot of engineers from NASA, some of whom were familiar with the CubeSat Launch Initiative and had tips to offer about how to be a competitive entry. These engineers also told me that they are very interested in developing a deeper understanding of the effects of space radiation on solid state memory devices.

A big highlight of the event for me was winning the 2024 IEEE Karen Profet Best Presentation Award at the Junior Conference. This achievement has made me even more confident that my design will be a top contender for the launch initiative and I am proud to have come this far in this journey.

IEEE Junior Engineering and Science Conference has been one of the most valued segments of the larger conference for over twenty years.

I presented at the 2024 IEEE Junior Engineering and Science conference and won the best presentation award on my CubeSat design paper. Big Sky, Montana.
